The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a one car crash last week that snarled traffic on Bill Hill Griffin Parkway at Miromar Lakes Boulevard E.
The driver and only passenger in the car died the following day. Sunday morning the FHP identified him as Scott Patrick Butz of Lehigh Acres.
Investigators say Butz failed maintain control of his vehicle and hit the grass median before crashing into a utility pole. At some point Butz was ejected from his vehicle.
