Lee County Sheriff deputies are investigating after a driver crashed a pick-up truck into a home early Sunday morning, turning the truck up on its front end.
It happened around 12:30 am Sunday morning in the 200 block of Bethany Home Drive.
According to LCSO Deputies the driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The people inside the home were not hurt but scared.
The driver, identified by deputies as Jacob Zambrana, was facing the family as they looked out the front door. The accident was a close call for the family since the truck came to a stop next to their children’s rooms. However, the impact left only minor damage to the house.
The suspected driver, Jacob Zambrana was booked into the Lee County Jail on DUI and property damage charges
So much for harsh sentences. He received 6 month revoked license, 1 year probation and 50 hours of community service. Spent less than 24 hours in jail ! High on cocaine, almost triple the legal limit to drive. Came within feet of killing two sleeping children. I guess this is what you get when you hire a lawyer to get you out of trouble. No integrity whatsoever. I hope he learned a lesson but I seriously doubt it.
