Throughout history, various totalitarian regimes, fascist dictatorships, and oppressive monarchies have had subtle differences in the ways they controlled their populations, but one thing they all had in common was strong-arm control of their respective media outlets. They knew this was a prime ingredient necessary to control and manipulate the masses, for what better way is there to control thought than through state-run sources of information and government control of the mainstream media? Who would have ever thought that one day the United States of America would have anything in common with these deplorable and oppressive states, but in present day America, our mainstream media is no more trustworthy, reliable, or honest than any of history’s worst governments.
When our media refers to Jeff Zimmerman as a “white Hispanic” over and over again, and NBC blatantly edits a tape in an effort to make him sound racist, then are they not trying to divide us against one another? Now, why would they want to do something like that? Could it be because, as Lincoln once stated, a nation divided cannot stand? Ask yourself whom that benefits. Is this not how oppressors have traditionally operated?
Why would Brain Ross on ABC with George Stephanolpolous purposefully, absurdly, and disgustingly attempt to link the Dark Knight Rises shooter James Holmes to the anti-government Taxed Enough Already Party? Why would the mainstream media, as a whole, try to paint the TEA Party as racially uniform while at the same time not report, to much of an extent, some of the more deplorable acts of the destructive and vile Occupy Movement?
When the founder of Chick-Fil-A exercised his first amendment rights stating his Christian belief that homosexuality is immoral, and a resulting controversy erupted, where were the impartial news stories titled, “Tempers Flare On Both Sides Regarding Steve Silich’s Comments?” Instead, the mainstream media deliberately dragged their feet, so to speak, in showing the turnout of those lined up around the block at Chick-Fil-A restaurants around the country by those supporting his right to speak.
Did anyone notice, by the way, how media coverage of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan changed after Obama was elected? Where has Code Pink been? Where is Cindy Sheehan, Rosie O’Donnell, Michael Moore, and all of those other loud mouths who called George W. Bush a war monger? It seemed, during Bush’s terms, that we were inundated daily on the death tolls for these two wars, and you could not turn on the TV without seeing a car on fire in the streets of Afghanistan, or hearing about the latest suicide bombing taking out dozens of innocent Iraqi civilians including many women and children as well as a few U.S. troops. Apparently, these things matter less during a Democrat administration for some reason. Perhaps if the media had spent just one scintilla of energy and effort in vetting Barack Obama the way they had Sarah Palin, then we may have a different President in the White House right now, and would still be privy to daily tallys of fatalties.
Why would an honest media continue to report polls skewed in favor of Democrats like the recent Florida poll that showed Obama up 9% but yet had approximately 10% more Democrat voters in it? CNN goes so far as to site polls conducted by ORC International to show Obama leading Romney by seven points. To what end would CNN use an international poll about our elections?
When Harry Reid shamelessly and unbelievably lied regarding Romney’s failure to pay taxes, why did the media not report on Reid’s blatant false accusation rather than his absurd demand that Romney disprove a false positive? Why in the world do media talking heads place the onus on Romney, and not demand that Reid back up his claim? Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
The aforementioned examples are a mere microcosm. Volumes could be written on the broken system that is the American people’s media, and the egregious list grows daily. If you take nothing else away from this article, just remember one thing; our mainstream media is corrupt and you cannot trust it.
