Did you know that a 22-year-old gym teacher has been arrested and charged with two felony counts?
Yezmar Angeanis Ramos-Figueroa has been arrested for both, distributing obscene material to a minor and transmitting harmful material to a minor, and, for allegedly sending inappropriate text messages and photos to a 13-year-old student at Central Pointe Christian Academy in Kissimmee, Florida. The alleged incidents occurred while the student was attending middle school virtually, and the messages were sent via cell phone.
Ramos-Figueroa has been terminated form her teaching position, and was employed as a physical education teacher at Central Pointe Christian Academy, a private K-12 school with multiple locations across Florida.
The case originated in mid-October when the student’s mother reported the contact to authorities, leading to an investigation that uncovered the messages and images on the boy’s phone. Ramos-Figueroa was taken into custody on November 26, 2025, and admitted to the misconduct during questioning by detectives. She is currently held in the Osceola County Jail, though her bail has not yet been set.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has urged any other minors who may have had inappropriate contact with Ramos-Figueroa to come forward and as of November 30, 2025 and has not appeared before a judge, and it remains unclear if she has legal representation.
