Lee County is now known for the corrupt “Gang of Four.” Four corrupt political hacks, all relying on each other to protect each other from criminal and ethical violations of the law. Attorney General Pan Bondi, Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno, State Attorney Amira Fox, and disgraced assistant state attorney Dan Feinberg at the group of corrupt government officials no knows as the corrupt “Gang of Four” of Florida politics.

Pam Bondi dismissed the entire federal investigation against crooked Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno. Earlier this year, Bondi fired the federal prosecutor going after Marceno. The evidence against Marceno was overwhelming. A grand jury already took testimony and subpoenaed evidence. Before Bondi got involved, Marceno’s criminal indictment was all but assured. There was overwhelming evidence Marceno set up a fake charity to line his pockets, received bribes and kickbacks, and padded the sheriff’s office with no show jobs for his cronies. Pam Bondi is a political creature of the corrupt swamps of Florida.
Pam Bondi herself was in a great deal of ethical trouble back in 2017. She was caught up in a massive corruption scandal involving the now defunct Trump University. Dozens of state attorney generals filed a massive civil lawsuit against Trump University. Then Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi accepted a large political contribution from Trump in 2016, then immediately pulled Florida out of the civil suit against Trump University. Eventually the civil case was settled, with the State of Florida getting nothing from the millions in dollars of the civil settlement paid out by Trump University.
A formal criminal complaint was filed, Bondi was effectively bribed to drop a civil lawsuit. The criminal complaint was eventually assigned to then Assistant State Attorney Amira Fox. Fox did no investigation, spoke to no witnesses and dismissed the criminal case, never even spoke to the complainant. Fox just wrote a brief memo saying nothing to see, nothing to do.
Carmine Marceno raised hundreds of thousands for Amira Fox’s 2018 campaign for State Attorney. Marceno worked full-time (mostly at taxpayer’s expense), raising thousands in campaign money for Amira Fox. Marceno and his family are great at raising money, using celebrity contacts, Ted Nugent, Judge Judy. Amira Fox raised over $500K for her PAC and her campaign account. This amount was an unprecedented amount of money for a local political office in SW Florida. In turn, Amira Fox refuses to prosecute Marceno for anything, no matter what evidence is revealed. Amira Fox owes her current political office due to the fundraising of Carmine Marceno. Marceno is guaranteed there will be no local prosecutions against anything criminal conduct. Marceno could take a gun out, shoot five people in downtown Fort Myers and Amira Fox would refuse to prosecute.
Dan Feinberg is an ethically challenged prosecutor who should have been fired years ago. In June of 2000, the Florida Bar officially reprimanded Feinberg for unethical conduct as a prosecutor. Despite a 10-year letter of reprimand of official misconduct, Amira Fox kept Feinberg on as a homicide prosecutor. Fox even nominated Feinberg for an award from the Florida Prosecuting Attorney’s Association. It turns out Feinberg is longtime personal friends with Pam Bondi.
We have four “ethically challenged” individuals who owe their careers and political success to each other. Bondi’s legal and political career should have ended in 2017, but Fox saved Bondi from oblivion. Feinberg should have been fired as prosecutor and disbarred years ago, but he continues to work as a prosecutor for Amira Fox. Marceno should have been federally charged by now, but Pam Bondi fires the federal prosecutor and dismissed an entire case. Marceno raised massive amounts of cash for Fox’s 2018 campaign, guaranteeing her election and guaranteeing Marceno will never be prosecuted in state Court. It is a small tight association of corrupt public officials, all saving their pathetic careers from oblivion and all at the taxpayer’s expense.
THE FLORIDA BAR v. FEINBERG (2000)
“Accordingly, we hereby reprimand attorney Daniel Peter Feinberg for professional misconduct. The reprimand shall be accomplished by the publication of this opinion. In addition to the reprimand, Feinberg is ordered to comply with the conditions of the referee’s report that he write (1) a letter of apology to the attorney in the instant case acknowledging the referee’s findings and sanctions imposed, and (2) a letter to the State Attorney of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit acknowledging the referee’s findings and sanctions imposed, as well as acknowledging Feinberg’s untruthfulness towards a fellow member of the Bar.” FLORIDA SUPREME COURT June 2000:
