Did you know that an Orange County Fire and Rescue firefighter was arrested for throwing over 100 tampons, some reportedly painted red to appear used, into her ex-boyfriend’s yard?
Gabrielle Franze, a 28-year-old firefighter with Orange County Fire Rescue and a resident of Deltona, was arrested on Friday, October 3, 2025, by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office on two counts of misdemeanor stalking. She is accused of throwing over 100 tampons, some reportedly painted red to appear used, into her ex-boyfriend’s yard on September 29, 2025. Security footage and license plate information were key in identifying her vehicle and involvement in the incident.
Apparently, Franze initially denied to the sheriff’s deputies being at the scene but later admitted her presence, claiming the plan was devised by her mother and aunt, though deputies noted the act demonstrated a course of conduct intended to harass.
Franze was released from the Volusia County Branch Jail on her own recognizance. The outcome of her pre-determination hearing will influence her future employment with Orange County Fire Rescue.
