One person was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert following a chemical explosion Monday morning at Paramount Chemicals and Plastics in Felda, according to a Hendry County Sheriff Office.
According to reports, the chemical explosion happened around 7:12 a.m. The Hendry County Sheriff’s Office and the Immokalee Fire Control District responded.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration is on the way to investigate.
Hendry County officials are also investigating the active scene.
