Friday morning was filled with pure enjoyment for 31 teachers in the Lee County Schools system. Marshall Bower and his crew from the Lee County Public Schools Foundation slipped into classrooms throughout Lee County to surprise 31 educators who had been named among finalists for the Golden Apple award this year.
Bower, the CEO and president of the foundation, said that 5,000 nominations rolled in this year for about 2,000 teachers.
