A Lehigh Acres teen has been cited with improper lane change after a crash on US-41 that seriously injured a motorcyclist.
Troopers said Alyssa Alexander, 19, was traveling north near Alico Road on the left lane when she merged into the center lane.
Charles Wheatley, 34, of Fort Myers, was in the center lane at the time and slammed into the back of the Jetta Volkswagon.
He was thrown from the bike and transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Troopers said he was not wearing a helmet.
Alexander was also cited with no proof of valid insurance.
