On Monday, May 16, 2016 at approximately 5:00pm, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in the parking lot at Old Fashion Auto located at 1209 Homestead Road, Lehigh Acres.
The victim was unloading a vehicle from a tow truck when an armed Hispanic male exited a Nissan sedan and approached his truck. The suspect fired one round at the victim. The victim was struck in the pelvis. The suspect fled the area in the Nissan.
Major Crimes Detectives assumed the investigation and developed a suspect: Lester Alexis Bermudez-Lozada, DOB 8/26/94, 2711 44th St SW, Lehigh Acres. Today, Bermudez-Lozada was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery.
