The principal of Mirror Lakes Elementary School has been suspended pending a professional standards review, said Amity Chandler Director of Communications.
Multiple sources say Dwayne Courtney was escorted out of the school by the district’s professional standards division, something that Chandler denies.
So far the school district is being very tight-lipped about exactly why Courtney was suspended, but he is suspended with pay.
Jeff Dobbins, the Director of the Teacher Leader program and former villas elementary principal will fill in in his absence.
No further details were immediately available.
