Chief Wayne must be clairvoyant, Holy Shit! Wayne tries to go after the Lehigh Acres Gazette in his response to the article “Closest Fire Engine Was OUT OF SERVICE During A Fire”; but he fails.
But the Chief breaks the cone of silence and talks about the fire investigation, even though the investigation is not over. He states, “The roof of this structure was already compromised before the call was made to 911,” but he was not at the house fire, he was on vacation, so he must be clairvoyant or he’s trying to cover his own ass.
According to the Fire Chief, “There are no fire hydrants in the area, so crews had to shuttle water with water tenders…this is always a problem in the community and nothing the Fire District can control.” But they had over 9000 gallons of water on scene at the beginning of the call but the closet fire hydrant was at station 105 1.6 miles away were there was other tender unit sitting not being used that had 3000 gallons of water in it and a fire engine that had other 1000 gallon in it that was OUT OF SERVICE.
Chief admits the engine was out of service, and the staffing report shows that 105 brush truck and 103 ambulance were also OUT OF SERVICE that day “St. 105 has been manned with an Engine most of the time since October 2015”, said Chief Wayne …. What is “most of the time”, Chief? One hour a week, 10 hours a week, what is it????? By doing what the Chief did has cost the taxpayers around Station 105 thousands of dollars in uncalled for monetary expense since they had to paid higher insurance cost and the fire fee assessment. How about refund Chief for the fire fee assessment for those taxpayers?
Chief said, “The Fire District has a phenomenally low fire loss value in this community as a result of our efficiency in dealing with limited water supplies and our well-trained crews.” We may have very well- trained men, no argument there, but this department has had more structure fires in the past three years than past years including one death because the firefighters were ordered to fight the fire from the outside of the house. The Chief must be having burst of short term memory loss; they have also fought thousands of acres of vacant lot fires costly the fire district millions.
The Fire Chief and the Fire board both promised then the Fire Fee Assessment was passed no more out of service equipment or browning out a stations but Chief John has been doing this to Station 105 effective June 2015. Fire Fee Assessment passed in November 2014.
On April 7, 2016 Lehigh Acres Fire Marshall Ken Bennett running around to all the insurance companies in Lehigh Acres wasting taxpayers gas in his fire vehicle and time to hand deliver a letter dated March 6, 2016 showing that station 105 was full manned with an engine and a tender. They couldn’t have emailed or faxed this letter? “THIS LETTER IS A LIE ANYWAY.” An hour later Fire Marshall Bennett redelivers the same letter but now it has April 6, 2016 date on it. They must be covering their ass again, one’s a fabrication and the other one is the truth.
After the last time I heard them tell us how important the new tax structure was to preserve and protect lehigh acres fire dept. and it’s citizens was, it passed by a narrow vote. What really happened was a tax cut for the wealthy and a raise for the rest of us.I will never believe anything the fire chief or the city council says!!!

So is the fire department going to get into the property management business or what?? I’d imagine you will be placing liens on property of those who don’t pay…will you be taking over people’s assets via asset forfiture for non-payment?

As I said when all this was happening. The Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District more then a Mob Style Extortion Business that is only out for its own wallets.
Now I am not saying that all staff in the LAFC&D are mob scumbags, but it is very clear that the Board and many of its officers are.
And it has been clear from the beginning of the What you Life Worth PROPAGANDA campaign that the LAFC&D could not and will never deliver on its promises. Oh thats right they did not make promises it was merely PROPAGANDA, to line there pockets.
And they call me a Nazi, oh well better a Nazi then a being a COMMUNIST BOOTLICKER, after all red commie flag and red fire truck. LOL!
PS. Thank you John “not the duke” Wayne for making Lehigh Acres a ghost town. If you spend half the time on manning all the stations as you do RAPING taxpayers, Lehigh Acres would be better off.
