A Lehigh Acres woman was robbed in an instant while sitting at a stop sign. The thieves stole a ring right off her finger while she was still in her car near Three Oaks Parkway and San Carlos Boulevard.
Marsha Adams realizes things could have been much worse. She was just leaving an appointment Thursday night when she decided to take a little detour.
“I went towards San Carlos because I used to live out there.”
She wanted to see her old house, but felt a little disoriented.
“I made a left onto Three Oaks Parkway, I went down a backroad, and that’s where I got lost.”
Adams told sheriff’s deputies she was lost and trying to get her bearings while stopped at a stop sign. She had her left arm hanging out of the window when another car pulled up.
“I had my arm hanging out the window because in Florida, that’s kind of how you drive,” she said.
The passenger in that car reached over and pulled the ring right off her finger
“The female passenger was literally hanging out of the car and yanked and grabbed my arm, and I tried to pull back, and she’s pulling and scratching my arm up.”
Adams was terrified.
Adams said the women were in a dark four-door Toyota with pin-striping and a gray interior.
She said the driver had long blond hair and the passenger, the woman who attacked her, had short curly blonde hair and blue eyes and was wearing a light pink tank top. Both in their 20s.
According to LCSO no one has been arrested.
