Two crashes have blocked State Road 82 near Gunnery Road this morning.
One driver was airlifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Both lanes of SR 82 are blocked.
The first crash involved a semi-truck and a black Lincoln Navigator. The SUV caused the crash and fled the scene, according to investigators.
The semi-truck was stuck in the middle of the road, and while the driver was assessing the damage, a second vehicle hit it.
FHP said three people were in the second vehicle and that driver was airlifted.
The vehicle that caused the initial crash has been located. The driver got out and ran from deputies, but is in custody now.
