Old Corkscrew Plantation V, LLC submitted an application with Lee County to rezone 4,204.87 acres in the Density Reduction Groundwater Resource area (DRGR) from Agricultural Districts (AG-1 and AG-2) to Industrial Planned Development (IPD) to allow the use of an excavation and mining operation.
The owners of the excavation and mining operation have submitted the following Haul rate: 4.3 Million tons per year; 82,692 tons per week; 15,035 tons per day; Each truck carries 21.5 tons per load; 1,398 two-way truck-loads per day; (passenger-car equivalent 2,497 trips day) 6 loads a day per truck; All traffic exits / enters SR82 (Immokalee Rd) and heads west to Daniels Pkwy.
599 AM Peak Hour Project Traffic (290 In / 309 Out); 125 PM Peak Hour Project Traffic (46 In / 70 Out); According to the applicants TIS, 5 road segments on Immokalee Road will be “SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACTED” by project.
