Lehigh Acres Middle School Principal Neketa Watson welcomed teachers, staff and students to the school as the new school year began on August 24, 2015. Mrs. Watson enters her second year as school Principal and asked teachers and students to sail away with her on a voyage to make Lehigh Acres Middle School the number one middle school in the East Zone.
When a little under 1200 students walked through the doors on opening day they saw many positive changes occurred at the school over the summer. New signs identified the school’s nationally recognized Cambridge Academic Program, Leader in Me and Avid Programs, and new this year is the 6th Grade Academy located in its own area of the building. “We are excited about this year Mrs. Watson stated”. There is a lot of excitement at the school and it is easy to see why Lehigh Acres Middle School is well on its voyage to reach its destination as the #1 middle school in the East Zone.
