Fire Chief John Wayne has told the Five Lehigh Acres Fire Commissioners the following: “There have been a few Board members that have been outspoken against the Fire Chief over the past several months and one in particular that appear to be consistently working against the Fire Chief for some time.”
Wayne went on to say that if the majority the board does it support him that he wants a mutual agreement to terminate his current employment agreement.
He wants the fire district pay him $143,834 which includes salary plus all vacation and sick time. His contract also includes lifetime health and life benefits for him and his family that the Lehigh Acres tax payers would also have to pay out.
This could be decided at the next fire board meeting Tuesday 29 at 5:00 p.m. at Station 104
If the fire chief cannot handle the heat maybe he should just QUIT and save the taxpayers the time and the money!
Quit already! He should get no severance pay, no mutual agreement, and the taxpayers should not be on the hook for him and his family the rest of their lives. Go sell used cars you swindler! He even looks like a palm beach blvd used car salesman!!
Breech of contract i say! he got the fire assessment passed in nefarious fashion! You get nothing!
I agree 100% with TONY!!! GET RID OF THAT PIECE OF TRASH AND A LOT MORE TO GO WITH HIM AND REPEAL THE FIRE ASSESMENT!!!!!!
