A Lehigh Acres woman said that adults and teens are terrorizing her neighborhood and said she’s living a nightmare.
Linda Harclerode lives on 70th Street West and said she’s been targeted several times. Last May, graphic graffiti of male genitalia and the “C-word” was spray painted all over her garage and cars.
She said that was just the beginning on the problems.
“Things like racing up the neighborhood the road, loud music so I kept calling police,” Harclerode said.
The former neighborhood watch leader said she’s called police several times but believes that’s what is provoking the vandals. She said this past week she caught them in her driveway trying to get into her car.
One house in the neighborhood the Lee County Sheriff office been at the house 13 times in 2015, it is a rental. The owner lives in North Las Vegas and leased through Rossman Realty in Lehigh Acres. Rossman Realty did confirm that they rent the home did know of the issues, but documents shown to the Lehigh Acres Gazette shows neighbors did reached out the Rossman over a year ago but refused to do anything.
According Lee County Sheriff document in 2012 a Juvenile was arrested for SEX ASSLT (BY UNDER 18 YOA SEX BATTERY VICTIM UND 12 YOA). In 2015 an adult was arrested for drugs. And three other arrests since 2010 on people that live in that house.
Linda said it is to the point where she doesn’t feel safe walking out her front door.
“I do not feel safe I want to leave I want to sell my home I hate it,” Harclerode said.
The graphic graffiti has been cleaned and Linda said it cost her thousands of dollars. She’s installed security cameras for extra protection but said she’d like to see more law enforcement patrolling in Lehigh.
I have lived in this neighborhood for 13yrs. I have to say that I have not any problems.
This serious situation has very little to do with this neighborhood and EVERYTHING to do with ONE RENTAL PROPERTY leased by Rossman Realty that ignores the facts that Drug Dealers and other violent criminals that are NOT on the lease continue their vendetta against the former Neighborhood Watch Coordinator that interrupted their lucrative business of drug dealing all over Lehigh Acres. Their mission is to shut Linda Harclerode up, they could care less about anyone else.
listen really IMPORTANT!! Linda is not the right person to be getting information. This lady is talking about people she has never tried to communicate with. she knows nothing about her neighborhood, and tries to seem like shes innocent. But shes not, everything is wrong to her and everybody is wrong in her area, she provokes people by accusing people of things she does. if these things happen to her “im sorry” but maybe she deserves it..The family she harrasses on a daily basis has their own difficulties just like everyone else. So why always harass them and call the realtors and get them kicked out when they mind their own business…Worry about yourself and your property and stop worrying about others. stop making friends with the police and setting people up. stop accusing people of things that they aren’t even doing to you! your cameras were up before anything every happened to you…stop making rumors and remarks,trying to be innocent in these situations. whoever is harassing you should stop as well. But dont blame it on the first people who you want out of your neighborhood!!!
