Lehigh Acres Middle School is pleased to announce Social Studies Night at the school on Thursday, April 23, 2015. A special presentation by Holocaust survivor Steen Axel Metz will highlight the evening. Steen Axel Metz was born and raised in Odense, Denmark for 20 years, except for the 18 months spent in the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp/Ghetto during World War II. The event will be held in the school cafeteria beginning at 6:00pm. There is no admission fee and the event is open to the community.
Lehigh Acres Middle School is pleased to announce 14 students were selected to attend the Statewide AVID Gator Encounter at the University of Florida. Students were able to learn about college admissions, future jobs, visit with current UF students and attend the Blue and Orange Spring Football Game. The Avid Program (Advancement via Individual Determination) at the school is coordinated by Ms. Debra Prashad.
Lehigh Acres Middle School is pleased to announce 4 students were selected to attend the Junior Achievement Hall of Fame Dinner at the Hyatt at Coconut Pointe Resort and Spa. This event has over 500 attendees who are leaders in Lee County. Junior Achievement serves 12,000 students per year and less than 100 are chosen to attend the event held every year. LAMS is proud to state it has been honored every year and students have been invited to attend.
