Local McDonald’s Restaurants
Honor Their Two-Peat Shift Manager Of The Year

Local McDonald’s® owner-operators recently honored its top employees in Charlotte, Lee, Collier and Hendry counties. Britany Cox, a resident of Lehigh Acres who works at the I-75/Daniels Parkway restaurant, which is independently owned and operated by Tim Fenton, was named Shift Manager of the Year for the second year in a row.

Cox began her career with this restaurant in 2009 as a crew member and has worked her way up to swing manager. She credits the restaurant with providing a flexible work schedule; as a single mother of two, her job allows her to spend quality time with her children. Her favorite activities include organizing the restaurant staff’s annual holiday party; coordinating activities for People Week, which celebrates the contributions of the restaurant’s people; and motivating crew members to sell thousands of dollars worth of paper hands during the restaurant chain’s annual “Give a Hand” fundraiser, which benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities®.

Cox also attributes several customer service skills to her time at the restaurant, including communication skills, professionalism and understanding/empathy.

“My customers mean just as much to me as my friends do,” said Cox. “I see them on a daily basis and get to interact with new people every day.”

“I can’t think of a more deserving swing manager to win this award two years in a row,” said Mac Tibbett, the restaurant’s general manager. “She embodies the McDonald’s spirit of “lovin,’” building strong relationships with her customer and coworkers.”

Maria Villalobos and Doris Schiffner were the second- and third-place Shift Managers of the Year winners, respectively. Luis Garcia, Sabrina Bibart and Carol Surgeon were named the top three Crew People of the Year.
