Don Black, Jr. has been charged with one count of Second Degree Murder and one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder in this case. Black was arrested in Orlando on a Lee County Sheriff’s Office Warrant. He is currently being held in the Orange County Jail awaiting extradition to Lee County.
Detectives are investigating this incident as a homicide. The decedent has been identified as Alexavier Chaz Jennings.
On February 18, 2015, at approximately 10:07 p.m., deputies responded to the area of John Ave. S., between Douglas Lane and Arthur Lane, for a Suspicious Person call.
Upon arrival, and due to the nature of the incident, deputies began a death investigation. Major Crime’s detectives arrived on scene and have assumed the investigation.
