Lee County Town Hall Meeting Set for Oct. 22

Lehigh Acres residents will soon have the chance to speak directly to their leaders in local government.

Larry Kiker, chairman of the Lee County Board of County Commissioners and Roger Dejarlais, Lee County manager have scheduled a Town Hall meeting for Wednesday, October 22, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the East County Water Control District (ECWCD) Campus located at 601 East County Lane in Lehigh.

The public is invited to this open meeting to provide an overview of many Lee County topics of interest.

“I encourage community residents to come out to our Town Hall so that they may ask questions and hear feedback about numerous efforts to improve the county and Lehigh Acres, Kiker said.

During the open forum, constituents will be invited to address county leaders on issues of their choosing, ask questions, and have meaningful dialogue.

“The priority of the ECWCD Board of Commissioners is to serve our constituents. We are excited for this opportunity to work with the Lee County Board of County Commissioners and the county manager to better reach Lehigh Acres residents,” said ECWCD Chairman/ Commissioner Mike Bonacolta.

  1. Seems kind of short notice don’t you think? Why would they not give the people a couple weeks notice to make plans to come to the meeting? I know why!!!

First: schedule a meeting on short notice.

Second: tell the public to come, then hope and pray nobody shows up due to such a short notice. Also hope nobody comes that’s against the grain and is well prepared.

Third: do what you want anyways….

Fourth: then when people complain…say “well, we had a public meeting, where were you to voice your opinion that didn’t matter anyways”???

    Laughable if it wasn’t true.

Lee county is so corrupt it makes me sick.
