The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) has issued a Temporary Service Interruption Advisory to Lehigh Acres Utility System customers, due to a 12-inch water main break as of Thursday morning (July 17th) at 9:20 AM. This notice includes all customers on Gunnery Road, North and South of Lee Boulevard in a one mile radius. Approximately 1,000 customers will be affected. Maintenance crews are currently working on repairs and anticipate services to be restored by 3:00 PM.
Following restoration of service, a Precautionary Boil Water Notice Advisory will take effect. The Advisory will remain in effect until water samples taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory indicate the water is safe to drink, mostly likely by Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014.
The FGUA sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this occurrence. For additional information or updates, FGUA customers may contact the FGUA Lehigh Acres Utility Systems Customer Service
