Teen After Finding Pot

A Lehigh Acres teen was arrested after police found pills and marijuana in his bedroom.

Lee County Sheriff’s officials say deputies were investigating a possible marijuana grow operations at Lytle Street East and Parker Avenue South.

Authorities observed a minor walking to some potted plants on the ground next to a table. As he put the plants on the table, he noticed deputies and immediately walked into the residence.

Deputies walked closer to the residence and saw that the plants that the minor was holding were marijuana plants.

Authorities went to the front of the residence and spoke to the minors mother asking her consent to search his bedroom.

After getting permission to search from both the minor and his mother, deputies found marijuana and two small plastic baggies containing white pills inside a drawer.

They also found more marijuana in his closet.

Four of the pills were identified as Tramadol Hydrochloride and the other two were Hydrocodone.

Authorities also found 14 marijuana plants.

The minor was arrested and taken to Lee County jail.
