Over 200 people celebrated Danny Ray Stephenson life on Saturday June 30 at Veterans Park.
During the first hour the Golden Road Quartet (missing one of its members Danny) sang “First Day in Heaven”.
Steven Clayton performed the memorial service with prayer, scripture and encouragement for the family and friends.
During time of tribute Andy Reisinger told the group Danny is a legacy. “Danny’s has been the voice of the Spring Festival for more year than I can count”, said Reisinger.
Melody Stephenson, said “this is a great town, everything we ask for has this celebration has been done”.
During the last song from Golden Road, “I’ll Fly Away” Judy Carter, Danny’s wife released a small tin of Danny ashes around the stage area at Veterans Park.
“It was a great day to celebrate Danny’s Life”; said Bill Hoppe, “Danny will be sorely missed!!!”
During the 8 hour the park was reserved for the celebration there were bounce houses for the children and corn hole games for the adults .
