Nearly half the 31 men arrested in a Sarasota County underage sex sting were from Charlotte, Lee and Collier counties but 2 from Lehigh Acres.
One brought a pistol to the meet-up – another arrived with a four-year-old child.
The six-day “Operation Intercept” nabbed 31 people in all.
Deputies posted an ad on the internet that the suspects responded to. All of them allegedly agreed to head to Sarasota County to have sex with a child or children.
When they arrived, deputies were waiting for them.
Local men arrested are:
Domingo Rivera, DOB 3/27/74, 1133 Gordon Ave., Lehigh Acres, is charged with Use of Computer to Seduce, Solicit or Entice a Child to Commit Sex Acts and Travel to Seduce, Solicit or Entice a Child to Commit Sex Acts.
Lazaro Betancourt, DOB 9/9/81, 3719 24th Street SW, Lehigh Acres, is charged with Use of Computer to Seduce, Solicit or Entice a Child to Commit Sex Acts and Travel to Seduce, Solicit or Entice a Child to Commit Sex Acts.
