Juan Luis Alcantar known as John to many, 75 of Lehigh Acres and Immokalee Florida passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Juan was born in Mission, Texas on March 27, 1950, to Pedro and Rosa Alcantar. He was the youngest of 3 siblings. His family moved to Immokalee, Florida in the 1960’s.
Juan met his late wife Fina in Immokalee. They fell in love and got married on March 6, 1969. They settled in Immokalee where they raised their family of 8 children.
Juan was an exceptional husband to his wife and father to his children. He worked tirelessly to make sure his family had everything they needed.
Juan enjoyed the outdoors. Some of his favorite pass times were fishing, going to the beach, and lounging in the sun in his favorite chair. He also enjoyed watching old western and war movies. His family will have many wonderful memories of vacations and outings to remember him fondly by.
Juan is survived by his children Juan Jr (Helen), Mary, Maricella (James), Esmeralda, Juan David (Juanita), Jose Daniel, Cristoval, Alejandro, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren (2 arriving later 2025). Surviving is also his sister Mariaelena (Alan), brother Armando, best friend Coco, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Juan was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Josefina Alcantar, mother Maria Rosa Alcantar, grand baby Jonathon Matthew DeLisle and Father Pedro Alcantar.
Juan’s wishes were to be cremated and reunited in a companion urn with the love of his life who he missed dearly.
A small private celebration of life in honor of Juan’s legacy is planned at a later date.
