Marceno hosted a fundraiser for SW Florida Citizens for Justice, with special guest Ted Nugent, raising approximately $25K, in 2017.
Marceno’s PAC, Friends of Carmine Marceno, donated another $2000 to Amira Fox’s Political Committee, Friends of Amira Fox, in October of 2021.
In 2017-2018, Carmine Marceno worked countless hours raising money, gaining support, and gathering endorsements for Amira Fox for State Attorney. At a minimum, Amira Fox should give all these contributions back, or at least donate the over 30K raised to charity. Amira Fox refuses to prosecute Carmine Marceno for his crimes, kickbacks from no-show employees, suspicious $400K in gambling winnings, and buying a $600,000 condo in all cash.
Amira Fox is just the beginning. Marceno has a long list of contributions from his political committees. Kevin Ruane accepted 20K, Lal Roach $1000, Cecil Pendegrass $1K. All need to immediately return this dirty money, but it needs to start with State Attorney Amira Fox.
This money and support from corrupt Carmine Marceno to State Attorney Amira Fox clearly demonstrates the typical culture of corruption in Lee County. Marceno raises money, invites celebrities to fundraisers, gathers support, and in exchange State Attorney Amira Fox makes Carmine Marceno immune from any criminal prosecution, no matter how blatantly Sheriff Carmine Marceno violates the law.
