The push to change the Lee Board of County Commissioners from At-large to Single Member Districts is being floated again as a few members of the Local State Delegation host another Town Hall this Wednesday, June 26 in Bonita Springs (see the flyer below).
Single-member districts create fewer government positions, and less taxes, and serve as a hub for a commissioner to understand their district.
Single-member districts mean voting for only one commissioner who lives in your district. This stops Cape Coral and Ft Myers from controlling the votes for a Commissioner in the Lehigh Acres Area.
