Did you know that SeaWorld in Orlando is switching to a World Economic Forum recommended, cashless payment system beginning on August 30th?
Following the lead of the World Economic Foundation’s call to end cash and unite under a bankless system of government crypto, SeaWorld has decided to implement the first step in submission.
In a recent post on its website, SeaWorld states that they believe going cashless is a faster and more secure. The post also states that “It’s a simple, efficient and flexible way of enjoying”, their parks.
No longer will cash in any denomination will be allowed, only credit cards, debit cards and cell phone app payments such as Google Pay and Apple Pay will be accepted.
If per chance for now if you do show up at one of their theme parks including Busch Gardens, with up to $500 in cash, they will convert your money to a Visa debit card at one of several kiosks located throughout the parks at no charge. Any leftover funds on the card can be used at any merchants who accept debit cards.
Additional rules also apply if you choose to convert cash to one of SeaWorld Visa debit cards. You will not be charged a fee unless the card is not used after 92 consecutive days with no transactions. If that occurs, you will be charged a $3.95 per month fee.
