Did you know over the last week the State of Florida conducted “Operation Kandy Krush” that located over 68K packages of hemp extract targeting children?

An inspection of 475 food stores in 37 of our state counties found that nearly 69 packages of hemp extract products with advertising on packages targeting kids were found, that cording to the Florida Department of Agriculture.

The Florida Commissioner of Agriculture, Wilton Simpson stated in a tweet, “Today, we’re proud to announce the results, as we’ve uncovered nearly 70,000 hemp products including euphoric, high potency THC products specifically designed to appeal to children, a blatant violation of Florida Law.”

Early this year, the Florida Legislature passed a bill, later signed by Governor Ron DeSantis that closed a loophole in Florida’s earlier hemp statutes. The new law added an age requirement for the purchase of any and all hemp products for consumption as well, prohibits marketing of hemp products targeting kids.
