4 Teens Arrested After Shooting

Brothers in crime. That is what the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) said Gabriyel (16) and Nicodemeus (15) Metayer are.

LCSO used their helicopter to track the duo down after deputies said they shot at two other teens in a car.

The victims were not hit, but they drove away and crashed into a power pole — cutting the power off for many.

“That’s scary,” Lehigh Acres resident Judy Cales said.

Deputies said the victims were lured to the corner of Sunset Road and Wanda Avenue N through an Instagram message. When they arrived, three people jumped out of the woods with guns.

“How did they get access to the guns so easily?” Cales said.

The shooting happened a few blocks from Cale’s house.

“I just wish that these types of things didn’t happen. I’m really kind of scared to let my youngest one go ride his bike,” she said.

Neighbors we spoke to said they were home at the time and heard the gunshots.

“To be honest there is always so much noise that I cant sometimes identify if it is guns or fireworks or what it is because it always happens,” Cales said.

Another neighbor said she immediately locked her doors, then her power went out from the crash.

It did not take long before she could hear sirens.

You can see the chopper showing deputies where to arrest two other brothers, Ja’darian (18) and Jaderrick (15) Cochran, who were also involved.

Now all four are in jail tonight.

“That is just going to ruin his future, unfortunately,” said Cales.

She told the media she is now more aware of her Lehigh Acres neighborhood.

“Something had to have been brewing and not just ‘let’s meet up’,” Cales said.

Mugshots have not been released for the Cochran brothers at this time.
