A Lehigh Acres man has been sentenced to 11 years and 3 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Genaro Deleon III, 45, was the leader of a large-scale family drug business in Lee and Hendry Counties.
Michael Lee Faz (44, Labelle), Abel Deleon (46, Labelle) and Genaro Deleon, Jr. (64, Labelle) were previously sentenced for the same offense in connection to the meth ring. Faz was sentenced to 10 years and 1 month in federal prison, Abel Deleon was sentenced to 7 years and 8 months in federal prison and Deleon Jr. was sentenced to 5 years and 10 months in federal prison. Each of the four men previously pleaded guilty to the conspiracy charge.

According to court documents, to avoid law enforcement investigations Deleon III would bury and hide his organization’s stash of meth in multiple spots in the woods near his property, which was protected by loose dogs and motion-sensing cameras.
Deleon III employed his father, Deleon Jr., and his two uncles, Abel Deleon and Faz, as dealers for the drug organization. Over the course of a year, law enforcement made more than nine undercover purchases from the group, buying hundreds of grams of meth.
In October 2021, officers arrested the four men and searched Deleon III’s home, where they found multiple guns.
