The Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District responded to a structure fire at a home on 17430 Balfour Terrace Friday afternoon.
The fire broke out around 2:21 p.m.
LAFD confirmed the occupants, a family of five, were successfully evacuated from the building. The Red Cross was contacted for assistance as the family will need to be relocated.
The structure fire was extinguished around 3:39 p.m. The cause is unknown at this time.
