Did you know that the ACLU complained the day after a male inmate who identified as a “female”, was executed for raping and murdering a woman and a female child?
Convicted rapist and murderer, Duane Owen was recently put to death at a Florida correctional facility last week. Afterwards, the American Civil Liberties Union, made a statement on Twitter, condemning the state of Florida had not provided “necessary gender-affirming care” to Mr. Owen who identified as a female.
In 1984, Owen killed a 38-year-old mother and a 14-year-old teenage girl. He made claim that he committed these heinous acts so he could, “absorbed their souls” of the two victims and that they “still reside inside of him.”
Duane Owen during testimony, made claim that he sexually assaulted women as part of a ritual to harvest their female hormones, and that he was a transexual who carried out the sexual violence to “turn himself into a female.”
It was reported that Owen had made claim to 7 rapes and five murders along with other crimes throughout the state of Florida. He informed a psychiatrist that he was using the information regarding the other (unresolved) crimes he had committed as leverage in an attempt to delay his execution.
