Did you know Florida is suffering from an epidemic of school teachers being arrested for sex crimes?
Just last Friday, a Central Florida middle school teacher has been accused of inappropriately touching students.
In what can be described as a rash of school teachers being arrested during 2023, having either inappropriate and unlawful relationships with students, now Javier Fernandez Romero-Gonzalez, age 45, is also facing charges of lewd or lascivious conduct and authority figure soliciting or engaging in lewd and lascivious conduct with a student.
Romero-Gonzalez before his arrest, was employed as a Spanish language teacher at Innovation Middle School in Orlando.
According to witnesses at the school, Romero-Gonzalez inappropriate touched areas of student’s “hips, shoulders, and buttocks.” He is also accused as well of suspiciously video recording students and frequently hugging them.
After being arrested, Romero-Gonzalez was taken to the Orange County jail and a $40,000 bail placed on him.
