Lehigh Acres residents speak out after a man stole a refrigerator from a house.
“Afraid; I don’t know if this is a good area to build,” said Jennifer Roldan.
Albert Vergus and Roldan already live in Lehigh Acres.
“We want to build a house in a location where everyone is safe and take care, because when you live in a place, you want to look after your neighbors,” said Vergus.
The two had plans to build their new home around the corner from the house that was broken into Saturday morning off Jaguar Boulevard. But now, they’re not so sure.
“It’s really shocking to me because I never heard this in this area. This area, my girlfriend always told me it’s always good,” Vergus said.
Lee County deputies say Javier Ramond Lalondriz entered the Lehigh Acres home through a sliding glass door.
