Did you know that Disney World in Orlando has a plan to hold the “world’s largest LGBTQ+ summit” this coming September?
Robert Iger, the newest Disney CEO has decided to promote the event in what some in the media are calling, the “middle finger” from Iger to Governor DeSantis after his super majority Republicans in the Florida Legislature failed to pass restrictions on Disney Corporation, and their pro-transgender, pedophile and homosexuality policies which were uncovered through a leaked, 2022 meeting notes from Disney executive producer, Latoya Raveneau.
When restrictions that were passed by the Florida Legislature, DeSantis made a decision to dissolve Disney’s special jurisdiction, called the Reedy Creek Jurisdiction. DeSantis later appointed a five-member board to monitor government services located at Disney World.
Despite the dissolvement of the Reedy Creek Jurisdiction, The Florida resort has committed to hosting the conference this year and next, which will coincide with the presidential election campaign in 2024. DeSantis is widely expected to challenge former President Donald Trump for the Republican Party nomination.
Dozens of American companies including Amazon, Boeing, Cracker Barrel, Hilton, John Deere, McDonald’s Walmart and Uber among others, are sponsoring the event as well several Federal agencies are also sending government employees to attend and participate which include the CIA and the U.S State Department.
