Did you know that an Orlando area teacher was recently put on administrative leave after forcing Caucasian students to bow and fan their fellow, Black students?
Ethan Hooper a language teacher, has been suspended from Howard Middle School after parents discovered several Tik Tok videos showing Hooper having White students fanning and bowing to Black classmates.
Hooper allegedly made the video in celebration of Black History Month, but has sparked much outrage not only with the parents of the children used as political props, but all across the internet as well.
A statement from the Orange County Public School District was released regarding this incident which read in-part, “The district will not tolerate the use of our children as political pawns by anyone, including a classroom teacher. Any employee who creates videos or other content with the students in an effort to exploit them for political purposes will be immediately removed from the classroom, placed on administrative leave, and swift action will be taken to terminate employment.”
