A property owner observed a fire in his backyard. It was quickly extinguished; thankfully he had plenty of defensible space between the brush and his home.
Another brush fire came close to houses today near 3705 1st St SW. Crews extinguished the 1/4 acre fire before any homes were damaged. The cause is unknown at this time.
