Lehigh Regional Medical Center Rings in the Holidays Complete with Santa Sweets and Snow!

There was snow in the forecast as Lehigh Regional Medical Center hosted its annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, December 2. The evening began with Cheryl McIntire, CEO/CFO welcoming attendees to the night’s festivities. After a difficult year for so many in the surrounding communities, Lehigh Regional Medical Center’s hope for the evening was to bring joy and smiles to all, and the evening didn’t disappoint!

Santa and his Helper Emma arrived escorted by Lehigh Acres Fire & Rescue. Adela Rodriguez, an eighth grader from Harns Marsh Middle School sang, bringing her sister onstage to sing with her. Pastor Jason Phillips, Chaplain at Lehigh Regional Medical Center offered a prayer for the community and the evening’s events. The Harns Marsh Middle School Chorus took the stage to count down the tree lighting and perform a selection of holiday music under the direction of Mrs. Candace Sundby. The festivities continued inside, as Santa greeted and posed for pictures while Lehigh Regional Medical Center staff and their families assisted with photography, ornament crafts, and serving cookies and hot chocolate to all.
