Join the Largest Cleanup Event in Lee County

Join the nation’s largest community improvement program! Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. (KLCB) is the local organizer of the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup and has been hosting the event for 24 years.

The Great American Cleanup is the largest cleanup event in Lee County.  The event encourages residents and visitors to make a difference in their neighborhoods and communities. The cleanup is a county-wide improvement program bringing together the power of volunteers and sponsors together to inspire change and build sustainable, vibrant communities in the areas in which we live, work, and play.

The cleanup will take place on Saturday, April 2nd at multiple locations across Lee County from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. including Lehigh Acres, Charleston Park, Olga Mall, Pine Manor, and Suncoast Estates. Volunteers will be cleaning and beautifying waterways, shorelines, roadways, parks, and anyplace else that has trash and debris that is not only unpleasant to look at, but it is also harmful to the environment.

Keep Lee County Beautiful is holding our Great American Cleanup on Saturday, April 2nd at various locations across the county.  One of the locations is Pelican SnoBalls in Lehigh and there are still spots available. CLICK HERE to view the event registration page.

The 2021 Great American Cleanup event was a tremendous success. The amazing volunteers collected over 15,000 pounds of trash and debris! With Lee County being a coastal community eventually the majority of loose trash will find its way into a lake, river, canal, or estuary, and eventually end up in the Gulf. Preventing this from occurring is crucial for the environment and our local waterways.

The Great American Cleanup is open to volunteers of all ages and any individual, family, school, group, place of worship, business, or government entity can coordinate or participate. CLICK HERE to register for the details or call 239-334-3488 for additional information.
