A homicide investigation is taking place in the area of Gerald Ave. and E. 6th Street.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed a homicide investigation is underway in Lehigh Acres.
Several deputy vehicles surrounded and taped off a portion of Gerald Ave. near East 6th St. early Thursday morning. A van from the LCSO Crime Scene Unit arrived shortly before 7 a.m., followed shortly thereafter by a mobile command unit.
A neighbor walking his dog Thursday morning said the presence of law enforcement has him concerned.
In a tweet posted just before 10 a.m. Thursday, LCSO wrote “The incident is isolated and all parties are accounted for.”
LCSO is currently investigating a homicide on Gerald Ave in Lehigh Acres.
