Did you know that a Broward County School Board member recently took a group of elementary school students on a field trip to a gay bar?

According to Broward School Board member Sarah Leonardi’s social media post on her official school Facebook page, she stated that “I was SO honored to be invited to chaperone Wilton Manors Elementary’s field trip to the incredible Rosie’s! The students and I had a fun walk over and learned a lot about our community! A huge thank you to Rosie’s Bar and Grill for hosting this special field trip every year!”
Some parents who have their children attending the Wilton Manors Elementary School have reportedly made complaints to the Broward County School Board regarding the field trip to a gay bar.
Governor Ron DeSantis has learned of the field trip and has dispatched an investigator to look into whether the DeSantis administration will file a complaint against the Broward County School Board and school board members including Sarah Leonardi who chaperoned the field trip.
“The Florida Department of Education is aware of the situation in Broward County. We have an investigator going down there tomorrow to determine if there is a legally sufficient complaint,” stated Jared Ochs, Director of Communications and External Affairs for the Florida Department of Education.”
