Weather 10/7

Per National Weather Service Tampa
As the day continues daytime heating will support Cu/Strato-Cu development during the mid to late morning hours, with scattered showers and storms then expected to develop along the sea breeze during the early afternoon, with additional shower and storm development expected (Pops increasing into the 50-60% range) over interior sections during mid to late afternoon as sea breeze and outflow boundary interactions take place. Storms that develop today will be capable of producing locally heavy downpours, frequent lightning strikes, and gusty winds up to 40 mph.
It will be an unseasonably warm and muggy day for early October with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s to lower 90s with dew points in the lower 70s supporting heat indices in the 100-105 degree range during the afternoon, so if you plan to be outdoors make sure you drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. The ongoing forecast is in good shape with no changes or updates required at this time.
