July 9th is the last day to register at Lehigh Community Services to receive backpacks full of school supplies.
Families are invited to Love Lehigh Day – Loving our Students on Saturday, July 31st at Christ United Methodist Church, 1430 Homestead Road North in Lehigh Acres (across from CVS) from 10 am to 12 pm.
The Lehigh Acres Fire Department and Lee County Sheriff Department will be present.
Many organizations that provide activities for children and help families will be present.
Goodwill Industries will have information for families, Kiwanis Club of Lehigh Acres sponsors student-led programs in all of the local schools, Rotary Club passes out dictionaries to local students, free raffles for free haircuts, Scout Troop 11 will have free popcorn and beverages, and more.
Many of these organizations also provide scholarships for college education.
