A 23-year-old Lehigh Acres man has died in Lee Memorial Hospital after a crash on Daniels Parkway in Lee County early Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, he was heading east on Daniels west of S.R. 82 when he missed a righthand curve, went into the median, and overturned. He came off his bike and landed in the inside westbound lane of Daniels.
A sedan heading west in that lane, driven by a 29-year-old Lehigh Acres woman came to a stop in the inside lane to avoid hitting the dismounted driver, who hit the front of her vehicle.
The motorcyclist was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital in critical condition and died the following day.
The crash is still being investigated.
