One person has died and a second was injured after a small plane crashed near LaBelle, close to State Road 80 and Collinswood Parkway.
According to the Hendry County Sheriff’s office, it happened after 3 p.m. The twin-engine passenger plane landed on the property of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
HCSO confirmed one person died and another suffered unknown injured. It has not been confirmed whether the victims were in the plane or on the ground.
Deputies ask drivers to please avoid the area of Collingswood Blvd. and Eucalyptus Blvd.
The church was not hit or damaged.
