What year are we in 2021? Lehigh Acres Fire Commissioners have failed the Community of Lehigh Acres again!
The required Form 1 as they call it tells the following information Name and address and the position held or sought. It shows the primary and sources of income for that person, any real property owned by that person. It shows any Intangible personal property and liabilities. And it shows there, if any, business activity or ownership.
It also certifies that they have complete FS 112.3142 ethics training.
Every year Florida Statute requires “Local Officer” to file a Disclosure of Financial Interests
112.3145 1. “Local officer” means: Every person who is elected to office in any political subdivision of the state, and every person who is appointed to fill a vacancy for an unexpired term in such an elective office
Each Local Officer has until July 1 each year to file that document.
112.3145 (2)(b) Each state or local officer and each specified state employee shall file a statement of financial interests no later than July 1 of each year.

Cia Gomez-Sherman has not file one since 2017 Missing 2018, 2019 and 2020 reports
Linda Carter has not file one since 2017 Missing 2018, 2019 and 2020 reports
Debbie Cunningham – Since Cunningham is on her second term 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020 reports are missing
Robert Bennett has not file one since 2019 Missing 2018 and 2020
Melissa Barry has not file one since 2019 Missing 2020
The Lehigh Acres Gazette has done some homework. We know that two commissioners have changed addresses and employers since they first filled them out this is a violation. This why this Form 1 is very important to all voters and taxpayers.
