Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that an SUV hit and killed a landscaper while they were working near the road.
This happened on SR-82 between Bell Blvd and Eisenhower Blvd in Lehigh Acres.
The SUV was traveling east in the inside lane on SR-82. The 68-year-old worker
The man was laying down sod in a construction zone. The 68-year-old worker was inside of the dashed lane dividers separating the inside and outside lanes. The outside lane was blocked by construction cones.
The 37-year-old driver from Cape Coral hit the man with the right front of his SUV.
The victim was from Clewiston.
